Calling for just and humane policies, FMC led the monthly ecumenical immigration vigil on Sunday, July 6 at the Ramsey County Detention Center, 425 Grove Street, St. Paul. The focus was on the many children crossing the border. There has been an increase in detentions of families and children at the border in recent months.

The 2014 Neighborhood Sustainability Fair was held at FMC on Saturday, April 26, 12:00-4:30 p.m., in the fellowship hall. Neighborhood folks dropped in for free electronics & small appliance recycling, bike tune-ups and used/broken bike donation, clothing and toy exchange, household more-with-less activities and products, activities for children, seed swap, free organic food, info from alternative transportation, alternative energy, urban gardening, and sustainability organizations.
