October 25, 2009: “Who are the Mennonites?” 500 Years of Peace, Community and Service — FMC holds an open house event at the church, featuring music, food, information, and activities about Mennonite history, service and ideas.
Saturday, November 14, 2009: Twin Cities Festival & Sale for World Relief — FMC helped raise over $70,000 for Mennonite Central Committee relief work.
July 2009: FMC sponsors a strawberry-picking trip to Natura Farms in Hugo, MN.

May 24, 2009 Car Sabbath: As a way to decrease our congregation’s carbon footprint, FMC holds four Car Sabbath Sundays. We encourage giving our cars an entire day-long Sabbath. Many folks come by foot, bike, bus, light rail, and carpools.
May 1, 2009: Members of FMC march with, and in support of, immigrants in Minneapolis.
May 16, 2009: Prayer Vigil at the Capitol – As the state of Minnesota faces the prospect of significant cuts to financial support for social infrastructure, education, and basic human needs like healthcare, members of FMC joined other churches and concerned advocates in a prayer vigil in the state capitol building.
March 29, 2009: FMC hosts a winter forum, “Immigration and Food Justice: A Multi-Faith Dialogue.”
